Academic Computing - Research Support and Services

The education and research communities receive desktop support under the same guidelines as our clinical customers. Since research must purchase their own computers using funds from their research grants & contracts, their computers must conform to the IS standards (exemptions are permitted).  Standard systems will receive full support including; setup and configuration, installation of BIDMC standard applications (antivirus, antispyware, metaframe and Microsoft Office); attachment to the network; printer configuration and IS Desktop Service support.
