TaqMan Real-Time PCR Core

FUNCTION: To perform Real-Time-PCR and provide quantitative data on levels of gene expression. The Core comprises an ABI 7700 Sequence Detector System, equipped with all an investigator needs for experimental design/run and data processing.

 

FACILITIES: The TaqMan Core is located on the 10th floor in the Harvard Institutes of Medicine (HIM) building. We can order your probe/primer set, set up and run your reactions on the 7700 SDS. We provide the endogenous controls and all necessary reagents, but you can also purchase them and set up the experiment yourselves. 

 

SERVICES: The Core provides one-on-one consulting on experimental design, probe/primer design and data analysis on an hourly fee basis.
