CITI Training Program

BIDMC has a long history of excellence in animal research.  Protection of it animals through education of research faculty and staff is one key to that excellence.  Towards that end, and in order to comply with the federal education mandate for research personnel involved in animal research, a new web-based research education program is being put into place.  The new education training will be offered through the Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) program.

The CITI program offers a robust IACUC Member training course and also provides courses on working with the various animal species.  This educational requirement is consistent and sharable with the other Harvard Medical School institutions.

Course include:

IACUC Member Training, Working with Frogs, toads, or amphibians, Dogs, Guinea Pigs, Mice, Rabbits, Rats, Swine, and Working with the IACUC for Investigators, staff and students.
