Research Opportunities at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

At Beth Israel Deaconess, recent graduates have the resources and support they need to continue to make progress in their professional development. As an academic medical center affiliated with Harvard University’s School of Medicine, our biomedical research is expansive. In fact, BIDMC ranks third among independent medical centers for NIH funding. We also offer the rare opportunity to work side by side with our world-renowned team of physicians-scientists and investigators who represent a unique force of expert skill and varied experience.

The Medical Center is committed to the development and application of molecular medicine, and we are continuing to expand our clinical and basic research programs. Research programs include: cancer research, clinical and basic AIDS research, neurological research in a variety of areas including Behavioral Neurology, Sleep Disorders, Epilepsy, Neuro-oncology, Genetics, and Cerebrovascular Disease, surgical research investigating the fundamental biological and clinical questions underlying disease, cardiovascular research, and women’s health research. Core Services include a Genomics Core, a Transgenic Animal Facility, which provides transgenic and gene deficient mice to investigators, a DNA Sequencing Facility and a Bio-Informatics Core that is available to assist researchers with analyses of recombinant DNA and protein structure.

As a leader in biomedical research, we offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits that include a generous earned-time program and a flexible working environment.

Please forward this information to your colleagues, alumni, and future graduates. We are looking for candidates with a least one year of undergraduate lab experience through internships or part-time employment and a BA/BS in Biology or related sciences. Interested persons should send resumes to
