Presenting Symptoms of Diabetes

Patients may be asymptomatic – discovered on routine examination/lab test. Classic symptoms include: Polyuria and polydipsia Loss of weight Fatigue Blurred vision Recurrent vaginal infections or recurrent UTIs DKA or hyperosmolar state Patients with type 1 diabetes usually present with classic symptoms which may culminate in the development of DKA.
