Presenting Symptoms of Diabetes
Patients may be asymptomatic – discovered on routine examination/lab test.

Classic symptoms include:
  • Polyuria and polydipsia
  • Loss of weight
  • Fatigue
  • Blurred vision
  • Recurrent vaginal infections or recurrent UTIs
  • DKA or hyperosmolar state

Patients with type 1 diabetes usually present with classic symptoms which may culminate in the development of DKA.
