Corticosteroids are the primary treatment of minimal change disease in adults, as it is with children. However, children respond much sooner, usually remitting within two months of corticosteroid treatment.
The data in adults are limited but in one series only 75% of patients treated with prednisolone at doses of 60 mg daily remitted by 16 weeks. |
