When evaluating a patient with a potential lung cancer, the physician should work up the patient completely and clinically stage their disease. This will lead to appropriate treatment options and provide the greatest clinical benefit. The workup includes a full history and physical examination, and may include a variety of radiological and surgical diagnostic techniques. |
