The Center for Faculty Development is conducting a survey of all of our research and clinical faculty on defining the success of your career.
(Note: If you completed this survey in November or December 2006 or January of 2007, you will not be able to re-take it)
Success can be defined by personal and/or professional criteria. Successful careers and a successful life may be defined differently for us as we progress through our
careers. What do we need to accomplish to be "successful"? And, as we progress in our careers, our personal goals may change. As our goals change, does the definition of success also change?
The purpose of this confidential survey is to determine: 1) your goals when you entered your professional career; 2) assess how your goals may change with time; 3) your
definition of success in your professional life and your career and 4) assess your interest and motivation in academic promotion.
If you complete the survey you will be eligible for a $100.00 gift certificate from Harvard Coop, courtesy of the CFD. Three prizes will be awarded. There is a special
question at the end of the survey where you can indicate if you wish for your name to be submitted for the drawing.
There is no link between the responses to the survey and the prize drawing, so all answers are anonymous. This study is approved by the BIDMC Committee for Clinical
Investigations.
Please do take the time to answer the survey. It can be completed in sections for your convenience. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and will impact on program
offerings from the CFD.
Sincerely,
Rosemary B. Duda, M.D., M.P.H.
