Major Research Theme:

My lab focuses on cognitive aspects of neurodegenerative disorders.  Our research focuses on two seperate areas, executive function and motor skill learning.  We study the neural basis for these types of learning in healthy controls and in patients with Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.

External Recognition:

Presenting at PriMed course for primary care.  Have presented yearly at CME course on Behavioral neurology.  Teaching HMS course on the human nervous system.

Major Collaborative Activities:

Collaborating with David Alsop, PhD in radiology dept of bidmc.
Collaborating with Emilio Bizzi's lab at MIT to study procedural consolidation with TMS.
Collaborating with Bob Stickgold to look at role of sleep in procedural consolidation.
