My main research interest is the vascular reactivity of the micro- and macrocirculation. I direct the development of the Microcirculation Lab, which test the microvasculature in a non-invasive way. The Lab is also equipped with ultrasound apparatus that enables us to evaluate the endothelial function of the brachial artery. In addition to the above, I am also the research Director of teh Joslin-Beth israel Deaconess Foot center and i am interested in the etiology of diabetic foot problems and the pathophysiology of wound healing in diabetes. I am also interested in the development of diabetic neuropathy and its interaction with skin microcirculation.
