1. Use of combined epidemiologic and immunophenotypic data to understand early ovarian cancer and its precursors, causes, and promoters. Co-investigator with funding from the Nurses Health Study and Department of Pathology- Foundation (BIDMC). 2. Characterization of histology and microbiology of placentas from second trimester deliveries and correlation of placental abnormalities to neurologic development in the newborns. Co-investigator and lead pathologist in the 14-institution “Extremely Low Gestational Age Newborns (ELGAN)” study, funded by the ELGAN study (Children’s Hospital, Boston). 3. Investigation of the role of in-utero inflammation and infection in autism; histologic and immunohistochemical examination of fetal cortex in brains from autopsies with and without chorioamnionitis. Co-investigator. |
