Development and clinical testing of magnetic resonance imaging applications for the cardiovascular system - including coronary MR angiography, vessel wall imaging, cardiac function/mass/viability, subclinical disease imaging, assessment of valvular disease, atrial scar imaging. Application of cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) to the management of patients with cardiovascular disease with emphasis on atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease, and resource utilization. |
