Major Research Theme
My most important work has been investigation into urinary metalloproteinases as potential tumor markers for breast cancer.

We are also working together on a public health project, looking at current barriers to screening African American women for breast cancer and evaluating what the response of this population will be to newer screening tests such as urine or blood tests.  For this project we are collaborating with Dr. Karen Hacker of the Institute for Community Health in Cambridge.
