Major Research Theme
My rearch focuses on the modeling of air pollution data and the evaluation of their effects on health. I am interested in the public health impact of air pollution especially in third world countries, and also the methodological issues related to the modeling of pollutants (semi-parametric models, smoothing methods, Bayesian model averaging, and model selection). I also am interested in the use of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic models and MCMC for the modeling and estimation of the distribution, clearance, and metabolism of gases or particles in humans. My recent research work also focuses on the application and methodology of competing risk modeling method in survival analysis for cancer screening in the elderly. |
